Before I start my sharing proper, luyag ko kamo tamyawon sang Maayong Gab-i, sa Class Saligsig especially na gid kay Ace nga nangin pasensyoso gid sa akon nga pagka-sadista, sa Class Mananahid especially na gid sa kay Jojo kag Rod, my beloved triad, sa Class Mangingihod ilabi na gid kay Tope, ang pinalangga namon nga Classmate, kag sa Class Hangaway nga akon mga Classmates; ilabi na gid sa kay Chockie nga maga saulog sang iya kaadlawan sa bwas. Ang akon sharing subong is about “My Greatest Gifts from God.” In my sharing, wala lamang ako naga refer sa isa ka gift as the “greatest” gift I received from God. The “greatest” that I mean is not only one but five. Talking about gifts, I have received so much from God but these five are what I consider as the greatest and the most significant. My greatest gifts from God are 1.) my Family 2.) my Friends 3.) my Spiritual Sister 4.) the Seminary Formation and my Vocation to the Priesthood 5.) and my Gift of Music especially in Playing the Keyboard.
First, I consider my Family as one of the greatest gifts from God because sila gid ang direct nga ginhalinan ko (Parents), sila ang direct nga kadugo ko, kag sila ang pinaka-una nga karelasyon ko. If we speak of relationship, the closest gid permi ka gang pinaka-una is our relationship with our family. Happy gid ako to be born sa akon present nga family. I don’t say nga perfect gid ang amon family kay kada family may kakulangan man. They wanted us nga magdalagko nga mga mabuot kag maayo. They also support us sa mga bagay nga ginakahiligan namon.
Another gift I consider as one of the greatest that I received from God are my friends. Happy gid ako to have many friends inside kag outside of the seminary. Sa akon mga friends, ma express ang other part of me nga indi ko ma-express sa akon nga parents. Ang aton friends ang daw mga ka-level ta the way mag tulok sa mga bagay bagay unlike sa aton parents nga may pagka-matured na gid kag may bias man sa ila nga tiempo. Most of the time, ang aton friends ang permi ta kaupod sa mga sadya sadya kag sa down moments ta man. Ang aton nga mga friends are our companions sa aton pag grow as persons. Sa akon mga friends, thank you gid for being one. Thank you for letting me show myself, for letteing me show the other parts of Besoy.
Another gift I received from God that I consider as one of the greatest gifts I have ever received is my Spiritual Sister. As we all know, our spiritual sisters are the ones who serve as our prayer warriors as we journey in answering our vocation to the priesthood. They pray for the increase of vocation to the priesthood and they pray gid nga mag pari ang ila mga spiritual brothers. There is a feeling in me nga daw ka mag-an kag daw ga enflame ang desire ko sa pagkapari everytime I meet my spiritual sister. Ga find time ako sa pagbisita sa iya para ma-istorya ko man how am I in my formation. Happy gid ako to have a spiritual sister nga silently nagabulig sa akon journey towards priesthood.
Ang isa pa gid ka bugay nga gina consider ko as one of the greatest gifts I received is the Seminary Formation and my Vocation to the Priesthood. Sa nahambal ko man sang una, my parents were the ones nga nagpasulod sa akon sa seminaryo tungod man sa akon pagkadungol kag pagkasabad. Ang akon pagkadungol was indeed a blessing in disguise. The seminary formation molded me to be who I am now. Bangud sa manug walo ko ka tuig nga pormasyon nga naagyan diri sa seminaryo, I developed my prayer habits, I value studying, I learned to adjust with different personalities, na face ko ang fear ko sa “leadership” kag na porma ako to be partly, a matured person. My entering in the seminary was a sign that I have a calling for the priesthood. It depends on me kung sabton ko ang panawagan ukon indi.
Last but not the least, greatest gift I have ever received is my talent in music especially in playing the keyboard. I developed this talent of mine when I was still in first year high school. Sang una naga-tum-ok tum-ok man lang ako sang keys sa keyboard. Gusto ko lang gid makabalo kag I don’t know kung ano gid ang pinaka-rason. I just like it. The rest self study kag observations man sa iban nga mga musicians. Aside nga nadevelop ko ang akon talento sa pagtukar, what is so fulfilling in my part sang narealize ko nga ang talento ko, nagamit ko gid sa pagserbisyo sa aton seminary community kag sa gwa man. My being a musician is my own altar of sacrifice. Ang aton talents are not meant to be hidden and kept. They are meant to be shared through using it as our own way in serving others. Kung taguon ta lang ang aton talents, time will come nga madula gid ang mga ini. Ang mahambal ko lang sa iban nga may talento man sa maski ano nga field nga, i-share nyo lang ang talent nyo through service. Padayuna niyo lang ang pag praktis kay “there are no shortcuts sa pagsagad” kundi practice lang. The more you practice, the more you become better and better. Persevere lang kag never gid mag-give-up.
To recall the points of my sharing, my greatest gifts from God are 1.) my Family 2.) my Friends 3.) my Spiritual Sister 4.) the Seminary Formation and my Vocation to the Priesthood 5.) and my Gift of Music especially in Playing the Keyboard. Tanan kita may nagaka lain-lain nga gifts nga gina consider ta as greatest. Ang challenge ko sa inyo amo nga irecognize nyo ang gifts of God nga ara sa inyo kag lastly, be a gift to others
